DJ Melzi recently made headlines for allegedly cheating on his girlfriend, Andiswa, also known as The Bomb RSA. The allegations arose when a woman on social media shared a photo of the rising star in bed. Melzi decided to address this and share his side of the story on Gogo Skhetheni’s podcast.
He clarifies that, while he is indeed the person in the photo, most of the accusations against him are “false” and intended to tarnish his reputation.
“I can be sleeping, but that doesn’t mean that I have had sex with someone. Our lawyers approached the girl, and she was just trying to get attention. We have recordings and proof, which are in the hands of the lawyers.”
He expressed disappointment in himself and views this incident as a wake-up call. “This is something that will pass, but you have to learn.”
Regarding how his girlfriend has coped with the situation, Melzi admitted that it has been challenging for her. “I can’t say she is taking it easy. I also wouldn’t take it easy. Just because I was physically there.”
Melzi, who gained popularity at the height of Amapiano along with other young DJs, reflected on his rapid rise to fame, expressing feelings of inadequacy. “Sometimes I feel like I became popular so quickly before I could even get a grasp of my production.
